My name is Yang Shi, a Shanghai based writer/director. Thank you for visiting my page.

My filmmaking journey started at the age of 15. I made a short documentary with John Shi for school graduation ceremony and it was a success. Since then I’ve founded 9mm, a filmmaker collective based in Shanghai, gone to LMU and Art Center College of Design.

 I always believe that there are poems and romance living in people's lives. Hope you could find them in my works.
